Located in Detroit Michigan the Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History opened in 1997 (current location), this museum features the accomplishments and history of african americans. The first museum which originally opened in 1965 was created by Charles Wright who after visiting Denmark had the idea that a museum was needed for african americans.
